What is it about?
Your role as an environmental trainer in high schools around Shanghai will provide you with a highly rewarding experience. What’s in it for you?

  • Management and support from an outstanding social enterprise
  • Become familiar with the most urgent problems our planet faces. We will provide you with professional training and all the tools you’ll need.
  • Get to know the country and the language. Your internship will allow you to travel to neighboring provinces and experience authentic Chinese culture. You could also take classes in Mandarin in your free time.

Why is this internship so impactful?
With the largest population in the world and an astounding rate of industrial and economic growth, the health of the environment in China is becoming an increasingly grave concern. However, due to the education level and economic status of many of the students we reach out to, environmental awareness has not yet been integrated into their mainstream values. Low environmental awareness is a main challenge for China on the way to a sustainable future. Through this internship, you could bring an innovative educational program to schools, inspiring children to become environmental ambassadors to their communities and encouraging their friends, family, and future employers to develop a more sustainable lifestyle.

What are the requirements for applicants?

  • Proactive attitude
  • Interest in China’s environmental issues
  • 6 to 8 weeks time commitment
  • Good communication skills
  • Fluent English
  • Chinese language skills are a bonus, but not required
  • Enough funds to cover your costs of living (since it is a development traineeship, it is unpaid)

How to apply?
