How We Greennovated in 2008
When we announced our rough plans as a fresh startup company at our Christmas party in 2007 in Shanghai, nobody could really know how things would develop from that point. Even inside the Greennovate team, despite being full of ideas and creative energy, we had to be modest with our own expectations due to limited resources.
But we did have one strong point – we wanted to make a positive change in China’s current environmental circumstances. This common belief proved to be most challenging driver pushing us towards constant innovation, efficient management and valuable partnerships during our first year. And this how our mission to provide environmental concepts and contribute to the quality of life in China began.
During 2008 Greennovate has evolved into a social enterprise with a proven track record, solid startup financials and measurable social impact. Nevertheless, we are on for another challenge in the global economic downturn. We will take the major lesson learned – everything is possible but nothing is easy in China – and keep GREENNOVATING in 2009. One step at the time.
